Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies that may be used on the OrbiCypher website, why they are used and how you can control them.

1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that may be used when you visit https://orbicypher.com. OrbiCypher is operated by Prasad Panchal, a sole proprietor. Contact details: • Business: OrbiCypher • Proprietor: Prasad Panchal • Address: Phale Heights, Ambegaon Bk, 411046, Maharashtra, India • Email: hello@orbicypher.com • Telephone: +91 7218662541 This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files that a website or service may store in your browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, scripts and technical identifiers that may remember preferences, support authentication, measure activity or protect a service. Some technologies are necessary for a requested function to operate. Others may be used for analytics, advertising or other purposes. Whether consent is required depends on the technology, its purpose and the law applicable to the visitor. A technology is not exempt from consent requirements merely because it is described as analytics, security or a preference feature.
3. Technologies identified on our website
The following information reflects the website code and settings inspected for OrbiCypher. Provider behaviour may change, and the inspection did not establish every cookie or storage operation performed by third-party services.
3.1 Lovable visit-counting analytics
Our website loads Lovable's visit-counting analytics script. According to the Lovable documentation reviewed, this analytics feature measures website visits, pages viewed, approximate visit duration, single-page exits, referring websites, campaign parameters, visitor country and device type. The script runs in the visitor's browser and sends visit events to the website address. Lovable then collects and stores the resulting analytics data on its side. Its documentation describes the visit-counting feature as not using cookies and using a random visit identifier that is discarded when the visit ends. The exact retention period and IP-address handling have not been independently confirmed. A possible session-identifier cookie was not observed during the reviewed live test. We therefore do not guarantee that every hosting or analytics-related process is free of cookies or technical identifiers.
3.2 Theme preference storage
The website uses browser storage under the name orbicypher-theme to remember the visitor's light or dark theme preference. This is browser storage rather than necessarily a cookie. It helps preserve a visual preference between visits, subject to the browser's storage settings.
3.3 Writer sign-in storage
The website uses browser storage to maintain a sign-in session for authorised writers who access the website's content dashboard. This functionality is intended for authorised dashboard users, not for general public visitors. The exact lifetime and behaviour of the sign-in session depend on the authentication implementation and provider settings.
3.4 Hosting-platform cookie
A cookie named __dpl was observed during a live check of the website and was attributed to the hosting platform rather than the website's application code. Its exact purpose, lifetime and data handling have not been independently verified. We do not assign it a specific function without confirmation from the provider.
3.5 hCaptcha and anti-spam technologies
The contact form loads hCaptcha when a visitor begins interacting with the form. The website also uses a hidden anti-spam field and a waiting-time check. hCaptcha may use cookies, browser storage, scripts or other technical information to provide human verification and protect against automated abuse. The precise storage behaviour and data-retention periods have not been fully verified for our configuration. For additional information, consult: • hCaptcha Privacy Policy: https://www.hcaptcha.com/privacy • hCaptcha Terms: https://www.hcaptcha.com/terms
3.6 Advertising and retargeting
No dedicated advertising or retargeting pixels were found in the website code reviewed. This does not establish that independent hosting or third-party services never process technical information through their own infrastructure. If OrbiCypher introduces advertising or retargeting technologies in the future, this policy and any required consent arrangements will be reviewed and updated.
4. How we use these technologies
Depending on the implementation, cookies and similar technologies may be used to: • Remember display preferences. • Maintain authorised writer sessions. • Measure website visits and performance. • Support hosting and website delivery. • Protect contact forms against spam and automated abuse. • Maintain security and troubleshoot technical problems. The exact technology used for a particular purpose depends on the current website implementation and the provider involved.
5. Consent and cookie preferences
OrbiCypher does not make a blanket claim that every technology on the website is exempt from consent requirements. Where applicable law requires prior consent for a cookie or similar technology, the relevant technology must not be activated before valid consent is obtained, unless a lawful exception applies. A written policy alone does not create a working consent mechanism. Any consent interface or preference control must accurately reflect and enforce the choices it offers. The current behaviour of the website's cookie-preference controls has not been independently verified for this policy. We therefore do not promise that a particular control blocks every optional cookie, analytics request, script or third-party storage operation. If you have concerns about a technology used on the website, contact hello@orbicypher.com. We will review the request and the relevant implementation.
6. Managing cookies and browser storage
Most browsers allow you to review, block or delete cookies through their settings. You may also be able to clear local storage and session storage through browser privacy or site settings. Blocking or deleting certain technologies may affect functionality, including theme preferences, writer authentication or form verification. Browser controls do not necessarily manage every type of script, network request or third-party processing. Removing a cookie also does not necessarily delete information already held by a service provider. Where applicable law grants you a right to withdraw consent, that right remains subject to the applicable legal requirements even if browser settings are used to manage some technologies.
7. Third-party providers
The website uses or integrates the following services according to the implementation reviewed: • Lovable: hosting and visit-counting analytics. • Lovable Cloud / Supabase: database and application functionality. • Web3Forms: contact-form submission and forwarding. • hCaptcha: anti-spam and human verification. • Google: authentication for authorised writers. The presence of a service does not mean that every service sets cookies. Each provider's behaviour depends on its functionality, configuration and current practices. Provider information: • Lovable: https://lovable.dev • Supabase: https://supabase.com • Supabase Privacy Policy: https://supabase.com/privacy • Web3Forms Privacy Policy: https://web3forms.com/privacy • Web3Forms Terms: https://web3forms.com/terms • hCaptcha Privacy Policy: https://www.hcaptcha.com/privacy • Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy Third-party policies may change, and OrbiCypher does not control independent providers' internal systems.
8. Retention
The lifetime of cookies and similar technologies depends on their purpose, configuration, browser settings and provider practices. Session storage generally lasts for the relevant browser session, while local storage may persist until cleared or removed by the application. These are general technical characteristics, not a guarantee of the lifetime of every item used on our website. The precise lifetime of the observed __dpl cookie, hCaptcha-related storage, writer sign-in storage and Lovable's analytics records has not been fully verified. We do not invent fixed retention periods for these technologies. Information collected by a provider may also be subject to its own retention and deletion practices, as described in our Privacy Policy and the provider's current documentation.
9. International processing
Some service providers may process or store technical information outside India. The exact location of all provider systems and backups has not been confirmed. International processing is addressed further in our Privacy Policy. We will take steps required by applicable law where personal information is transferred internationally.
10. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this policy when our website, technologies, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on https://orbicypher.com with an updated effective or last-updated date. Where applicable law requires notice or consent before a material change, we will take the required steps.
